AoH Stewards in the Shire

Tagged with:

This morning (June 15, 2008) we started the Art of Hosting Stewards Gathering in The Shire, Nova Scotia - Canada. We are almost 20 people here and you can get a feel of our opening circle, when you read the poem that Chris Corrigan made as the harvest. Take your time! It is intense!

Thanks Laura

It is good to get this kind of feedback. It seems the time that our art is entering the 'old systems'...

In the Stewards gathering there were a lot of people doing this, with all the challenges that it takes. I am thinking of developing a kind of support program for all you guys and girls doing this incredible important - but difficult - work! If you need any support or want to bounce of some ideas or design, please use the Art of Hosting emaillist, or ask me who to connect to...

with love,

Sharing the harvest of the Shire

Thank you Ria for sharing this harvest from the shire.

Thank you too for your mindfulness to send feedback into the ethos of the AoH network.

I'm sitting here in my Academic office, preparing myself, preparing a leap of some kind that can build on this harvest.
I have an opportunity to prepare a research proposal for the Dutch Ministry of Fisheries. It's an opportunity I'm exploring with another AoH mate here in the Netherlands. We are tentative in our steps. It has to do with sustainable fisheries, conflicting interests, collaboration. It is the stuff of old systems cracking and new...possibilities?

We don't know. Indeed, to take this step is much like the
vulnerability of the new born.

So thank you for continuing to supply the harvest. Many of us are here benefiting from your deep reflections, and you may not even be aware.

So I wanted you know, I am here continuing in my own way, what you have been exploring collectively at the Shire.

We indeed are all one.

Laura
