Closing day in intergenerational gathering
Friday, our last day.
We had some unclarity in the hosting team in the morning about what was the right thing to happen. To me it seemed to reflect one of the challenges of our field. We are good, very good, at creating relationships and having conversations that matter, but how do we go to the next step, the action?
If we take the U-process as the model, there is a place - when you really entered the alignment of head, heart and soul - when you can 'act in an instant'. It is clear what to do; there is no doubt, although you only see the next step and not the whole plan in advance.
We made the design so that people could enter this space, this deeper soulful space. We used cards (Unfolding Cards) made by one of our mates, to help and guide us in this process and we asked support and challenge from our peers in little groups. If all learned as much as we did in our triad, then this was a fruitful morning.
To close people could speak their intention, their burning question to the group, and we used the vista of the Skypace here to add vision and wider perspective to our words. It was heartfelt, inspiring! and now to the beach and then our last evening in the local pizzeria!
