Silence

The hosting team was in the groan zone...

we stayed a little too heady...

were we talking about the real thing?

We had intended this day to be with some silence, as we are entering the bottom of the U. Our hearts and senses were opened in this community with lots of friendship, deep relationships and trust. And we were challenged in our assumptions, which opened our minds a little bit more. To deepen all this we decided to open the circle and speak and share around the question: What is brewing?

I give some of the highlights as perceived by me:

  • How to go from leadership to guardianship?
  • How to heal as a European? It seems our responsibility to develop our highest potential.
  • Are we communities that brew/grow eldership - which we see as independent of age? What is this eldership really for?
  • Multigenerational includes ancestors and tradition (name and share the gifts - acknowledge and transmute the wounds).
  • The next quality is about 'swinging balance' or 'natural evolution'.
  • What might be possible?... if all came out of silence?
  • The rift in the world - I work for my country - the whole planet is hungry and thirsty - Find the wisdom in us.
  • Growth is pain and joy.
  • Need for nourishment and support - what can I offer? - What to let in?
  • Where and what is HOME? Opening up my space/place and invite people in...
  • The practice of timing: are we waiting? or we wasting time? Will we be ready?
  • Reclaiming wholeness and this moment together.

As you notice, it was a long and intense circle...

some deep emotions sometimes...

for some too long, too many words...

for some really good...

about the real stuff...

We had our lunch in silence and walked in group - in silence - over the ancient pathway to the sea. Helping each other out when steps were too steep.

... swimming...

... rocked by the sea...

... more silence...

... some Aikido 'show'...

.. more conversations...

The dinner at the beach taverna. Table set with flowers and cake for the two birthdays we celebrate this day: Thomas and Ingrid! It was fun, and it was a real celebration as we had some dance music! Then walking back by the road, a little too steep... a little too long... finally arriving at the land and the gate... locked...

It was a good day.
