I currently work as a consultant in a virtual organization which has no physical offices. The organization aims to be a network-centric without hierarchy. However, I see the subtle existence of situated social power that selectively introduces implicit (or unexpected) hierarchy among relationships that ultimately influences perception, reward and recognition for individual associates.

The Fieldnotes, an online magazine, by the Shambhala Institute makes always good reading. I was amazed this time by an article - Forest Wealth - that speaks about the hosting that a forest does. The autor, Jim Drescher, tries then to make the link with creation of social wealth.

This morning I had an inspiring conversation with Nora Ganescu. Reflecting on our highlights from the recent AoH training in Belgium, which are highly relevant to current projects, Nora said, AoH should be the operating system for Evolutionary Nexus, and we became very enthused about it as we started exploring what it may mean. After the brief knowledge expedition at the Art of Hosting journey, many asked me whether I would run more in-depth workshops on this. Indeed, I do!! Here the invitation for six evening sessions in Brussels. If you like to host a learning expedition, just write to me. This year I am ready to do some travelling :-)
