Women Moving the Edge grew out of a gathering 'Moving the Edge' (March'06), where Judy Wallace and Ria Baeck met each other. The first gathering for women was one year later in Belgium; 6 months later in Massachusets; back to Belgium and so on... We have had nine iterations so far, the next one will be in Belgium on March 11-14 2011.

The purpose of every gathering is to collectively 'move the edge' of collective consciousness. Our understanding of this is growing one step at a time and slowly, but surely, we are moving in the direction of action. On these pages you can read some of our history as we have moved our main activity to a Ning platform.

Most information you find in the forums. Read more about the previous gatherings over on our wiki pages.

A friend send me an inspiring quote, by Sri Aurobindo:

"If there is to be a future, it will wear the crown of feminine design."

Masculine and Feminine - Spirit and Source

Ria Baeck's Model - The Masculine (Spirit) and the Feminine (Source) collaborate through us in the dance of holding the space for our open inquiry into collective presencing.  From here the emergence of our highest future potential and the next steps for manifestation are born.

Women Moving the Edge - 4th Iteration - Harvest

This is the harvest of the fourth gathering of women moving the edge, which took place at Angel's Rest in November 2008.

Although there were only five women present – three participants and Judy and Ria – it was the right mix, and the right people.

This harvest was spoken by Ria on the day after the gathering ended.

Vicious circle to virtuous circle - collective development spiral

Working with some colleagues the other day in an action learning session, we stumbled on a very powerful insight into why many organisations function the way they do and how that functioning can be released into something quite transformational.

Second Guardians Gathering - Taking the Leap - Together

27th May 2008

Today we – Maria, Ria and I - called each other to the question what is My Work in Our Work. We then reframed it into what is Our Work and therefore what is My Work in this? Is this the question – or is it that we need to return to the question of what makes me tremble that we had two days ago…?  read more »

Second Guardians Gathering - Learning the turquoise language

27thMay 2008

What does it look like to become lost in the Green? To be over-focussed on many people – what they are – what they do – what my connection is to them, or not… Result – confusion, heart space crowded…Full – buzzinghead. I want to move out of this energy…integrate what I need to.  read more »

Second Guardians Gathering - The Trembling

26th May 2008 –Second Guardians Gathering – The Trembling

I am in the Sky Space – taking rest after our conversations with Maria, Ulrik and Ria. It is a beautiful hot day!

What is the trembling in me? This is the question that we are inviting the Guardians into later this afternoon. I wonder what my answer is?  read more »

The problem is the solution

It is Sunday… but when living on the land it is a day like any other day.

Because Maria is still in Athens, where she is visiting her dad, we agreed to do some more ‘clearing’ this morning. Imagine a steep piece of land, full of brambles and wild trees and schrubs. It goes from the house down to the little streambed that is dry most of the time these days. Because last summer there were so many big fires in Greece, and it looks like it will be as dry this year, this piece of land needs to be cleared. In case of a fire nearby, it will stop at a certain distance of the house, to keep it safe.
