Between WMtE 3 and 4
Submitted by Ria Baeck on April 6, 2008 - 10:39.
Conversation between Judy and Ria
between WMtE 3 and 4, April 5, ‘08
Long silence
Judy: Nice to connect again. So much going on - interrelated: apprentice AoH training - Gardeners of Peace call - hosting team Berkana Women's Tour; good stuff. I missed this; doing it with the feminine. I like being in that space, and in the inquiry.
Ria: After the workshop of today, I can rest. Many programs the last month(s): Art of Hosting, Women Moving the Edge, Healing your origin... Looking forward to 4 weeks with just clients. At Christmas and New Year I went deep into myself, now it is time to continue.
In the AoH training, in an Open Space - the question came to me "What would be the influence on the collective when we would sit in silence with a little group"? Not talking about it, but reflect the last 10 minutes. First 3 or 4 women and then 7 or 8 sitting in silence with 10 minutes reflection. I noticed in training that people were invited to be in silence on many occasions. Also did a session on "What is holding space?" We were a big group and some had to sit on cushions. Many times people would set on purpose in the center, holding space for the rest. Like a pattern.
I was contemplating: How is it going, WMtE? Related to the impression I shared last time, that I could guide people more into it, not the whole time in inquiry myself. I realized that I really love the space where we don't know, where we are all in inquiry. And I realized it is good to take others with us in the process.
Judy: You are the one that is leading the way... I was gently guiding another woman... starting in silence, brought her to a totally different place. I learned that from you. It was not really emergent... the idea of apprenticeship... creating new pathways, new patterns of being together. I do recognise that I shifted a lot since the first WMtE; and I want to continue in that way.
About holding space: do you have new ideas?
Ria: Not really new ideas. Nice many women of the previous WMtE were participating in the AoHosting training. There is this deep quality that you can feel, resonate with, recognize. Lisette is now officially space holder for CHE in Holland.
Not new ideas but still convinced that it needs more language to name it.
Judy: Monica has been holding the harvesting and bringing forward the wisdom about that. The wisdom of holding space is probably yours to bring. Sitting in silence, sitting in the center - repeats itself... the seed of silence and the seed of holding space is planted, and can spread from there. Quite powerful to know that that can happen! The consciousness in the room needs to have some depth, before this can happen. More of these things are happening; people are waking up! New book from Eckart Tolle - with online classes - enormous amount of people signed up! A lot on ego - individual transformation...
Ria: This is how media will support the shift. It becomes more mainstream knowledge to talk about. Not only these weird alternatives.
Judy: Like Obama gave some speeches - about race. He did an incredible job! He has to be a second tier thinker!
Ria: Even if he does not become President, he can now say this and many people are watching.
Next dates, online space, apprentices
Dates for the next WMtE are not clear yet. We will set a skype call with the four of us. (Eve-Marie and Wendy as apprentices). Judy will agree with Eve-Marie who will be at the AoH training now. We can use the pattern of AoH - to take apprentices, and by doing it together, let them learn - gently guiding them.
Ria: ENexus is up again. Still a lot of bugs. In a few weeks really usable. When my work with the programmers is less, will see what can be there for WMtE. Different communities have their own space now: AoH, WMtE, Intergenerational. AoH has the most content. We can use the site when women sign up.

Keep moving forward in action
From an email by Anne-Marie Voorhoeve:
"My dear girl friends! How are you all doing I’m wondering!
It has been a long time since I wrote or spoke to most of you.
And still you are often in my mind and heart.
I often think of the message you all gave me – that I have to move forward – take action, manifest, lead the way, my way and keep sensing.
And still I can feel that spot between my shoulder blades, where you all and Sarah strengthened me – especially when I feel scared to keep moving forward in action. And what action I have been able to manifest…wow! I’m trying to let it all sink in – I’m moved, happy, proud. And very tired as well, I must admit.
I send you the proposal we made with the 20 partners to reach MDG5 safe motherhood – it’s too much to read, it’s just to give you an impression…. And at the same time I worked on another proposal which you will also love with other partners on leadership development in Africa – I will send that separately.
We will be working on these concepts at the EuroConfab from 31/10-2/11.
So I wonder how you are all doing.
And whether i shall organize a reunion here in NL…… a moment of piece & quiet together?
Or are we going to move the edge again soon Ria in your ‘space’?
Anyway – just to say a THANK YOU and big hug for all the power I feel coming from our experience and the connection I feel.
Lots of love,
Anne-Marie
Answer from Sarah Whiteley:
Dear Anne-Marie, Dear all
Thank you for this email – it is good to hear how you are and how you are moving in your world...how are you all?
Maria and I have just been in the UK – and were with Nancy and Laurence – as part of the AoH – it was so great to see them (you) both, and to explore the ‘edge’ a little more. And now, we are with Lieven, Judith and Ria at the Kings Mill in Belgium – uncovering the next levels of our life and work – and where the connections lie.
And – in answer to your question of re-connecting...perhaps in Greece...in the springtime?!!! Ria, Maria, Judy and I are connecting tomorrow – to see what the ‘edge of collective sourcing’ might look like – we intend to call others to be in this inquiry with us – perhaps you will all be there too...! We will invite you shortly.
So – all is well. Maria and I return to Greece on Monday – to digest a busy time, both hosting at Axladitsa and in other places - and preparing for the olive harvest. You are most welcome to join us.
Much love to you all,
Sarah
Answer from Nancy Bragard:
My dear sisters,
This weaving has been wonderful. There is such presence and connection in the words we’ve been sending and receiving. It is still very new to me to have and hold this connection virtually. It is not a virtual connection, it is as real as can be … And I acknowledge you for bringing me down this path with you. What a gift.
Leicester AoH was quite a journey, in every sense of the word. The exploring continues with new connections at new levels. I was so pleased to bring Helga and Laurence into the community. And we are now in touch with Jean Sébastien, Philippe, Pierre, George (thank you, Ria, for weaving this!) on focusing on France: building a glossary, uniting the family, and bringing AoH to France in 2010. We have received incredible support from Maria and Sarah, Toke and Monika, the entire community. Like the rest, I sense that it’s a road that once we start to travel, we will be drawn to continue on … We’ll learn from the chaos, from the groans, and grow together.
Anne-Marie, it’s wonderful what CHE is on to. Judy, we will be “with” you in the WMtE in Boston. Maria and Sarah, how I would love to come harvest with you! Lisa, you sound grounded and good in your new chapter. Helen and Nina, I heard amazing things from Martin and Toke about the AoH in the EC. You all have moved mountains! And, if there’s any way I can help you move some French mountains in Brussels, you must let me know, I will be there in a minute! Seriously, if there is need for French-speaking “support” in any form on this road, you know where to find me.
I feel so warmed by the applications and manifestations of these practices (do you remember our constellation?... and how impatient Action was?...) and yet there is a deep and fragile “flame” of being that we cannot lose, that we need, to continue to move this edge. The doing can’t snuff that out… And with that, I also await for the next coming together in Europe of sisters. I hold you all in my heart in the meantime.
Much love –
Nancy
Answer from Judy Wallace:
Hi dear sisters,
What an honor to be in this interconnected collective space and to learn of all the amazing work you are energizing and bringing into form in the world. It seems we are each in our own way embodying the emergent feminine as we go forward. Yes, the world is waiting for us to come closer. I sense the joy and the creative life force coming through each of you as you write. I know that our work has only begun, be we together in place or interconnected space.
And as has been said – maybe we come together again at Women Moving the Edge in Belgium spring 2009 or Axladitsa 2009 as we move into the Art of Collective Sourcing.
I also join Ria inviting you to invite your American sisters into our virtual circle as we gather near Boston in November.
Lots of love. Our time is NOW!
Judy
