Forming a hosting team for building the Finn space

Our intention is to honor our friend, the late Finn Voldtofte, his work and spirit, by creating more than a beautiful memorial site. We want to grow a space where people can interact with and learn from his work, continue and weave it into their own.

 

May we help Finn's beloved "magic in the middle" live on in the heart of all in the communities of practitioners that he belonged to, especially World Café, collective intelligence and wisdom, and Art of Hosting.

 

May the Finn-inspired conversations grow in and between those communities. May they help raising the self-awareness of the social field of evolutionary transformation.

Finn's Courage

Thanks for your rememberances, George.

 

When I read your post it triggered my own response to Finn's incredible composure and trust in the collective during his illness and as he neared death.

 

I know a lot of people with similar beliefs about death, but I have never before witnessed such surety and openess in the actual process. That he was able to open up the field of love around himself, and trust even semi-strangers with the truth of his being and the clarity of his knowing impressed me deeply.

Amazing presence

When I learned about his final learning journey, I wrote in an email to mutual friends:


Last time, just a week ago, on Bowen Island, when his body was already engaged in the battle between his illness and healing forces, he was so amazingly present to both what was happening inside him, and in our circle!

 

We felt his pain and felt honored by his gift of presence, when he sat with us and spoke, each time, from a space of deep, undisturbed wisdom and caring for the Whole.

 

It brings tears to my eyes, tears of gratitude to him for being such a role model in the most challenging circumstances. May I and we all stand as solidly in our commitment to love and consciousness when we are tested, as Finn does!

 

 

Serving on the team hosting his work is my joyous response-ability to his life and death.

 

Hosting Finn's Space

I only knew Finn briefly through our shared work with the World Café, but even that small taste was enough for me to see his glorious essence. It was immediately clear how extraordinary a being he was and how much more time I wanted to spend with him.


Since then, I continue to learn more and more about Finn and the amazing legacy he has spawned in the world. Knowing how powerfully he has effected so many of the people I love and work with has made me feel even closer to him as time goes by.


I am honored to be part of this team, and look forward to designing and hosting a space for his inspiration to continue to flourish among us.

Magic and moving...

I knew Finn through Evolutionary Salon2 and through Moving the Edge, bot very inspiring gatherings... My intention is to make this site work in all its aspects and will then happily enjoy and join the team that will emerge here!

And I will follow all what is going on, until I can fully participate.

Important questions from Maja

Maja wrote me in an email on April 4:

 

One question I hold is how to create generative interaction with Finn's
work, where we use it as a foundation for further inqury?

You are as far as I understand in the middle of a World Café Gathering.
My guess is that it will emerge between you and the people there what
has life and meaning in regards to holding a space for Finns work.
Besides that I have to questions that came to my mind: How can we
support and contribute to each other? And how can we do it in a simple
and easy way?
