Evoluationary Salon Reflections/Feedback

What I liked most:  the commitment and wealth of talent of the people who showed up

What could be improved:  a structure that allows flexibility in what it can hold/transmit/support and yet has enough discipline to focus attention in ways that increase probability that a more coherent collective field might emerge...I like to think of this as alike to a haiku...that form of poetry with a very strict and simple structure that requires simplicity and evokes powerful and coherent sensory meaning images.   I also imagine an intentional weaving of embodied, land, mind quieting and enhancing activities?  I do not profess to know the HOW...simply the "what" I was longing for and the impulse that called me to walk upon the land often and to create an open space session (the labyrinth) for walking upon and with the land in silent prayer with others in service of the whole.

My gifts:  My gifts are the capacity to partner with place, space, rhythms to call attention to being fully present to ourselves and to one another...so that in that place where individual and collective presence meet we become portal(s) for evolutionary potentialities to become possibilities that serve the whole of life.  

Ways this expresses...

  • partnering with and listening for the depths of silence and knowing that I experience in my connection with the Land...
  • the recognition of a call to integrate our conceptual and embodied conversation and knowing...
  • recognition and calling out of patterns in thought systems that inform us - how we are making meaning and living into it
  • a commitment to learning more and more what it is to walk in the unknown and "live into the questions" with intention and focused attention that calls forth possibility from potentiality
  • a deep listening for what calls me...this is why I was at the salon in Jan...though I did not KNOW the why...I felt the call...exactly how this will play into the future weaving of this work I do not know in this moment...and I trust that I will.

Given how it went do we want to be as specific?
IF so, perhaps we need to drive for outcomes more.   
IF so, we need to "pre soak" people in the evolutionary perspective - 1 hour minimum story by michael...   and maybe too a pre soak of some kind.. of the specific intention.   It definitely would have helped everyone if the Evolutionary perspectivve would have been presented to help give us a boost and a focus and a direction.

Salons - probably need a narrowing at the end.   You begin life with maximum openings.. they keep on in some ways.. but as you get older your options close in.. narrow.. they form a focus.. The river that runs wide and deep is not as powerfull as the one that is constrained ...   At the end    last evening at minimum and the next morning .. if not the last 24 hours.. I would encourage some energetic that begins to bring in .. what are we learning.. where are we going .. what can / are we doing.. etc?   and or some   other focusinng..

Tell people - gently and remind them that this is not a place to talk about their personal problems / issues unless they relate specifically to the intent.   Give examples..   

Appeal for support was great - perfect.   I had no money to give at all and I still gave $100!!!   What you got promised was good.   Hire that lady and bring her into everyone of them.. You will get rich!! :-)   kidding..

People I think, expect a kind of entranement of energies leading to some kind of breakthrough or group Ahhaaa!   Perhaps that is not what these are about or at least this one.   Lets not be too harsh about this event and what did not happen.   Even if mistakes were made - they are learnings.. which are good and perhaps, if this was that kind of thing, then it may have been timely learning... But I think that other things went on - happened that may have been more energetic.     Several people, like Jack and Tom Hurley told me that my exposure of my blocks caused them to reflect more closely on their blocks..    WE don't know always or fully where the work is done.

My learning was "the Value of Diversity"..   Diffferent people experiencing and learning different things in different ways at different times.    I think our learning and our process is about allowing and being comfortable with those diversities.. and finding ways to connect and ampllify what is good in those diversities and what is good in the connections and resonances..   Allowing and even celebrating the diversity .. energizing the connections and the interfaces..

Ask Tom Hurley - to honestly give you some very focused feed back and advice.    Ask Jack - ask Joel Levey - Pay special attention to Tom's   insights.   What does Mark Jones think...   ?    Ask Anne Dosher?   Ask for cutting edge honesty and evaluatoin.   No holding back.   Listen.. Evaluate - follow your guidance.

This was good.   Very good for me.   REgardless of the content - the process of both Salons has been enormously opening for me personally and spiritually.
