if we can become more visible to ourselves...

Making evolutionary learning communities, networks and partnerships, more visible to themselves and one another, is the first condition to increase the connectivity in and among them, which is the raison d'être of Evolutionary Nexus.
I just had a very inspiring, deep conversation with Sofia, touching on questions like what is our work together. It was clear for both of us that technology is a part of it, and so is the holding of the question, how to host an online environment to increase the intergen movement's visibility to itself?
That is a conversation, to which everyone interested is invited, and this forum topic is one of the vehicles to conduct it.

Harnessing emergent energy with a collective sensing organ
Samantha said in the confcall of Oct 22: "I like the idea of what are the minimum next steps.. if we each just focus on one thing…"
Then I read and appreciated in Bob's email:
"What I think is essential is that:
· Some one(s) step forward with a particular call;
· That the call comes from a particular trail;
· That purpose is a clear part of the call.
Perhaps more general conversation is needed. I’ll participate in that as I am able. But what I can follow is passion. And what I can lead with is my passion aroused. Let’s make sure that we continue to arouse passion and not simply create a generalized confluence!"
Which reminded me what Sofia said in the last call: "I am interested in what wants to emerge with minimum effort… so this could be a spearhead for this energy….. i.e. maybe its not about organising anythign that becomes a chore.. but simply pointing at all the different things going on…"
Juanita also spoke about it: "I think there is some possibility of a common space where all of these various intergenerational possibilities begin to manifest themselves but from a variety of perspectives that can learn from and with each other.. there might be much more happening that we are aware of and if they knew they are happening then we would feel less alone.. ."
All of the above is fanning my passion about the possibility to co-create a "collective sensing organ" (see - Theory U, principle #6) for the nascent intergen movement; a collective sensing organ that can keep up with the news of, and reflect back what is emerging. In its simplest, embryonic version, what can be created with minimum effort, it would be a wiki page that I've set up here. Of course, everybody is invited to contribute.
If you can help with co-editing that page, collecting and connecting information related to its any section, or with creating a better layout, please say so below, and let's figure out how we can collaborate on it.
with love,
george
P.S.: If you have another call, different from co-presencing our collective sensing organ, please do not hesitate to open a new topic for that!
deep community
I was learning yesterday in my conversation with George, how to use silence to deepen a connection. We talked more about using silence to sit with a question on our monthly calls.
It felt as though the spirit of many of you were in our conversation. We talked about consciously connecting the collective heart ..as well as the collective intelligence.. making these viewable/felt by all…and how technology can weave into this process …meeting us where we are… and how we can host that development.. .
On reflection I have these further thoughts…
On the intergenerational pioneering:
I have a felt experience of being tenderly held by the wisdom of the elders and dynamically by the freshness of youth...both of these to different degrees in all of us.... it is like a home coming...and I sense this as being pretty close to the core of what is missing in many of the communities I am part of.. physical and beyond. It is the need for deep community (reference to Ria’s thread),.. I sense the possibility for us to move into this with more intention...in a way that welcomes all other approaches.. melds into them effortlessly...
Complex systems are not designed but grow around living centers
If so, what is the living center of the online space that can mirror and support the emergent intergen movement? To me, it is a very simple, beautiful, and functional part of an environment that connects with the physical world, and strengthens a sense of safety and trust in its users. Sofia used the metaphors "the Pond" or "the Campfire," as examples.
It is a place where we naturally continue and amplify what is already present, such as the beautiful, creative energy of our conference calls, and the news coming in from many quarters about a growing number of intergenerational projects and initiatives.
The upgrade of this site to the latest, more beautiful and capable version of this platform is due by the end of the year, the latest. Until then we can continue using the Intergenerational stepping forward forum for expanding on and connecting the hosting conversations; and the Intergenerational Wiki for a portal of news on the intergen movement. When those online dialogue and co-creation spaces will be cross-linked and cross-fertilized, we will have two interconnected living centers.
What do you all think about this? Can you envision it? If you like what you see, would you step in the circle to co-host that perspective or help in any way to realize it?
