Barefoot into Business

Dear Barefoot Mates,

Birth was given to our community during the AoH training in Belgium Mar08 and I, being the caller, welcome you joyfully to our self-organised space on Nexus!

Our opening mission statement is 'Creating experiences of the chaordic path in business enabling them to chose'.

And in brainstorming the needs we came op with areas like: bridgebuilding, burnout, tune into business ideas and connecting to business value system, ask the wicked questions in business environment - all-in-all making the sound techniques available and applicable in a hard-core business context in a simple way.

I suggest that we utilise our new community on Nexus to further elaborate on the needs for creating experiences in business; We have now had some time for reflection, new mates may like to join us and we now have a forum for co-creation. Could I suggest also that you check in by your reflections on your personal return on your engagement with our Barefoot into Business community.

What does eLearning mean to learners and developers!

We all agree that the Learning through informal ways always have higher retention and recall then the formal learning sessions. and therefore the current eLearning (WBT and CBT) industry in the Web 2.0 era is putting more emphaisis on making the learning experience as much as informal by using various fun games, online live interactions, etc. Some times the objective is not fully well treated by the budget/time requirement and to some extent by available technology.

There are many ways the industry is catering to this need is produce of second life concept, virtual worlds, video blogging, Avtars ets and the others tools like Flockpod - Social Learning on the spot, kind of tools really helping a lot in achieving the objective.

Congratulations for your pioneering spirit!

Dear Barefoots!

I want to congratulatae you for having the first community space on Nexus set up not by the Nexus team but community members themselves, in this case Vibeke, who just went ahead and created it. It is also the first community that grew out from an AoH training, to my knowledge, which has a shared sense of a mission and is supported in realizing it, by a virtual environment.

Co-evolving with you all,

george
