History

Some history: I have spent the last three years working for an Indian grassroots NGO. My main areas of interest (and the kinds of things that I have been working on) include: developing organisational learning systems; facilitating group processes and transformative leadership workshops; developing participatory learning and action tools; trying to apply the theory of complex adaptive systems to real life situations... and so on...

Your excitement: right now humanity is at a critical stage in its evolution. Our existing patterns of behaviour and the games that we play with each other are locking us into a kind of large scale self-destruction. As a species we have largely become alienated and disconnected, feeling powerless to influence the larger system of which we are a part. As a result we tend to perpetuate, reinforce and even strengthen the destructive forces that are at work. Despite this, humanity aspires for something greater and there are aspects of our human nature that could hold the key to bringing about the radical transformation that is required. What is this key? How can people be woken up to a new, more inclusive, more positive and inspiring reality? How can they become engaged on a large scale in enacting and co-creating a future that humankind can really feel proud of?
